It's a Vietnamese pho house with Korean twist in Oakland. The chili here are diverse - jalapeño , Korean chili sauce , and Chinese red chili sauce (every sauce here is so beyond the generic Siriracha, a knock-off fake Chinese chili sauce IMO). The soup base was fresh , the beef briskets were tender and the shrimp wraps were scrumptious.

Oakland asian restaurants have a serious MSG problem. This place isnt any different.
Seriously, being dependent on this gross ingredient is BS. It's just not good for you.
Anyway, the food is pretty good but man the MSG made my girlfriend's fingers swell. Not cool.
Really should broadcast that MSG info from the get go...yeah yeah we should ask too but it's like this in almost every asian place we have been to in the Oakland area. Pretty lame. -

I can't believe I haven't written up this place. I have been here several times for the pho. The broth is flavorful and the portion is the right size. Not too large when ordering the regular size.
The last time here I had the beef bun salad. This was also good. The fish sauce that accompanied the dish was not to overpowering nor sour. Portion size was right for a good appetite.
Service is always fast and friendly. Good to know things have not changed here over the years. -

For lunch I ordered the large special pho (you know, the one with every beef topping b/c you couldn't decide) for $10.25 pre-tax. The portion quantity seemed sufficient for the price point. The broth seemed lacking in the various aromatics that distinguish pho broth from normal bone stock, and dish arrival took 15 minutes, which seemed slow given the lack of rush and pho's general celerity of serving.

I come here for lunch whenever it's rainy to get me some pho. I don't come very often since their prices are in the expensive side when it comes to pho. I usually get the chicken pho with egg noodles. The broth is great. It's good chicken noodle soup. But today I ordered the Beef stew with egg noodles. The soup had a great flavor. I love the little veggies that came with it. The beef was a little in the tough side. Let's just say that I've had better. I also got the Spicy Chicken. This dish came with rice and a bean sprout salad. Now this is what I'm talking about. This dish is off the hook. The chicken is covered with this red sauce and with your first look, it looks like it's super spicy, but it's actually not spicy, the beef stew was spicier. But nevertheless, it was delicious.
My only complaint is that they're in the slow side when it comes to getting their food out, not like the usual pho places.
